We recently attended the 2023 Alaska Economic Forecast Luncheon event in Anchorage, which brought together business leaders and economic experts to discuss the state's economic outlook for the coming year. The event featured details from the Anchorage Economic Development Corporation (AEDC) survey of 200+ local businesses and organizations.
The report noted that Anchorage’s economy has been diversifying in the recent years, with growth in sectors such as healthcare, professional and business services, and tourism. However, the oil and gas industry continues to play a significant role in the local economy.
