Most procurement problems hide in plain sight.
If you run procurement on the side — or you run a small procurement team without a formal diagnostic process — you already know something is off. Invoices get paid late. Duplicate suppliers quietly multiply. Purchase orders skip approval because the workflow is painful. Contracts auto-renew without a review. Freight surprises blow the cost-of-goods budget on specific SKUs.
You know. You just do not have a clean, structured way to see all of it at once, ranked by where it actually hurts.
A traditional procurement diagnostic costs $3,500 to $12,000 and takes a senior consultant three to six weeks. Most businesses never buy one. They live with the leak.
This Auditor closes that gap. It is designed to give you a senior-consultant-grade diagnostic in about 4 to 5 focused hours, run from your own desk, with the math visible the whole way through.
A structured audit you can actually finish.
The Auditor walks you through a five-phase assessment of your source-to-pay cycle. At each phase the AI asks the questions, records your answers, and produces a formal deliverable you can share with your team, your board, or your CFO.
Maturity Scorecard
Your procurement function graded Level 1 to 5 across seven areas: sourcing, supplier onboarding, contracting, requisitions, receiving, invoicing, and payment. Delivered as a scored workbook and a narrative report, both with your own words as evidence.
Efficiency Score
A score per area and overall (higher is better), calculated from 25-plus diagnostic questions. Flags your worst-performing areas automatically.
Process Walk-Through with Pain Points
Your actual current process documented step by step, with every handoff, delay, and rework loop annotated. Your wished-for changes captured verbatim.
Document Gap Analysis
Upload your policies, templates, and procedures. The Auditor reads them as a system, surfaces contradictions, and lists what is missing for a business of your size.
Savings Estimate
Your operational numbers — invoice volume, cycle time, error rate, fully-loaded staff cost, contract leakage — run against cited industry benchmark ranges from APQC, The Hackett Group, Ardent Partners, IOFM, Aberdeen, and Deloitte. Every calculation is visible and editable in Excel.
Final Report and Executive Summary
Two consolidated documents delivered as ASCI-branded PDFs, with the Markdown source included. One for the working team, one for leadership.
Time-Versus-Money Decision Framework
A structured way to decide whether you fix your gaps internally, bring in outside help, or combine the two. The framework does not push ASCI. It shows you the math on both paths and produces a defensible recommendation grounded in your own numbers.
See exactly what you'll produce — before you buy.
The Sample Bundle is a lean preview of the reports the Auditor produces, run against a fictional example company. Real format. Real depth. Just not a real customer's data.
It includes the Executive Summary, the CFO-ready Final Report, and a Trend Analysis that shows what a re-run looks like after you act on the recommendations. A full run produces more, including the maturity scorecard, Efficiency Scores, process walkthrough, document gap analysis, and the savings calculator.
Three steps. About 4 to 5 hours of focused time.
Step 1.
Download the kit.
Step 2.
Open it in Claude Cowork.
Step 3.
Follow GETTING_STARTED.
Download the Auditor. After purchase you get a ZIP with the full project folder.
Open it in Claude Cowork. If you do not have Cowork yet, the included Getting Started guide walks you through setup. (Tier 2 and Tier 3 buyers also get a 30-60 minute setup call with an ASCI Consultant. to walk through it together.)
Follow GETTING_STARTED. Open the GETTING_STARTED document and follow the instructions. The AI takes it from there. Answer the questions at your own pace. You can stop and resume at any phase. The final outputs land in your project folder as PDF reports, the Markdown sources, and Excel workbooks.
Most customers finish the full audit in 3 to 5 hours of active work, broken across as many sittings as they want. The Auditor keeps state between sessions.
Before you start, gather: annual revenue range, annual procurement spend, supplier count, invoice and PO counts per year, average invoice processing time, fully-loaded hourly cost of whoever handles procurement. Optional but useful: your written procurement policy, PO template, and vendor onboarding checklist (these unlock the full Document Gap Analysis in Phase 3).
Safe to download. Cross-platform. Designed for Claude Cowork.
All files included in the Auditor are malware and virus free. The ZIP contains documents, spreadsheets, and plain-text prompt files — no executables, no installers, no macros.
The Auditor runs on any computer platform — Mac, PC, Linux, or Chromebook. Every report is delivered as a PDF (.pdf), with the Markdown (.md) source alongside it so the AI inside Cowork can read and operate the Auditor. The scoring and savings workbooks are Excel (.xlsx) files, so you and your team can open the reports and pressure-test the math in whatever tool you prefer.
The Auditor is tool-agnostic, but ASCI designed, built, tested, and supports it in Claude Cowork. We recommend Cowork for one practical reason: your documents are produced and stored on your own machine, not uploaded to a cloud workspace. Your answers and your uploaded policies stay local. OpenAI and Microsoft now offer comparable modes that work with your own files. If you use one of those instead of Cowork, choose a local-not-cloud setup so your data stays on your machine. ASCI tests and supports the Auditor only in Cowork, so in any other environment you run it at your own risk and the deliverables may not be produced as designed. If you have questions before purchasing, contact us.
Built for people who actually run procurement at small and mid-market companies.
Small-business owners who handle procurement on the side. You did not hire a procurement manager because you do not need a full-time one. But you also know the patchwork is costing you money you cannot see. The Auditor gives you a senior-consultant-grade diagnostic you can run yourself.
Operations and finance leaders at companies without a dedicated procurement function. Purchasing sits under operations, finance, or both. Nobody owns it end-to-end. You want a clean look at the whole cycle before you decide whether to hire, outsource, or re-org.
Procurement managers building an internal business case. You know what is broken. You need the scorecard, the savings number, and the benchmark comparison to get budget for it. The Auditor produces the deck-ready artifacts.
CFOs who want an independent view before budget planning. You want a number for procurement cost exposure that is not produced by the people who own procurement. The Auditor runs on the same data, but the structure is yours.
In the ZIP:
Prompts and Workflow
Twelve structured AI prompts, a workflow SOP, and a project instructions file that runs the whole engagement.
Scoring and Calculator Workbooks
Maturity Scoring Workbook, Inefficiency Questionnaire, and Savings Calculator as fully-working Excel files with formulas visible.
Branded Deliverables
Final Report, Executive Summary, Maturity Narrative, Process Walkthrough, Document Gap Analysis, ASCI Fit Analysis, and Gap Closure Approach — each generated as an ASCI-branded PDF as you complete the audit.
Source-Document Library Slot
A 08_Source_Documents/ folder where you drop your own procurement policy, PO template, vendor onboarding checklist, MSA template, or any other written procedure you want analyzed in Phase 3. A SAMPLE_Procurement_Policy.md ships in the folder so you can see the depth that produces a useful gap analysis.

FAQs
Questions people ask before they buy.
Q: Do I need a procurement background to run this? A: No. The AI walks you through every question, defines unfamiliar terms, and gives you examples when you need them. The Auditor is specifically built for people who do procurement as part of a broader role.
Q: What is Claude Cowork and do I have to pay for it? A: Cowork is Anthropic's desktop application for working with Claude on your own files. It requires a paid Claude subscription (Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise — Anthropic's current plan list is at claude.com/pricing). The Auditor's Getting Started guide includes step-by-step install instructions, and Tier 2 and Tier 3 buyers get a setup call with Rosita to walk through it together.
Q: How long does it take? A: Plan on about 4 to 5 hours of focused time once you have your information together. Most customers split it across two or three sittings. You can stop and resume at any phase — the Auditor keeps state between sessions.
Q: Do I get a refund if I change my mind? A: All sales are final and we don't offer cash refunds. If the Auditor alone isn't enough, you can apply 75% of what you paid toward Tier 2 or Tier 3 within 90 days — that's the satisfaction mechanism. The math is the same: $747.75 of your $997 carries forward as credit toward the guided tiers.
Q: Is a payment plan available on Tier 3? A: No. Every tier is a single payment. Tier 3 is $3,497 paid in full at checkout.
Q: Can I upgrade later from Tier 1 to Tier 2 or Tier 3? A: Yes — that's exactly what the upgrade credit is for. Original purchaser, same email and company, within 90 days of the original order. Tier 2 buyers can also upgrade to Tier 3 inside the same 90 days using the same 75%-of-what-you-paid math. To claim, email PAK@asciLLC.com within 90 days and we'll send you a discount code to apply at checkout for the upgraded tier.
Q: What if I miss the 90-day window? A: The credit expires automatically at 90 days, with no extension, so plan around that date. If you already know you'll want guided support, it's simplest to start at the higher tier or to upgrade before the window closes.
Q: What if I need to reschedule my Tier 2 or Tier 3 call? A: No problem. Calls may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice through the same booking link, no penalty, and must be used within 180 days of purchase, so you have plenty of room to run the audit first and book the review call afterward.
Q: Will it work in another AI environment? A: The Auditor is tool-agnostic, but ASCI designed, built, tested, and supports it in Claude Cowork. We recommend Cowork because your documents are produced and stored on your own machine, not uploaded to a cloud workspace. OpenAI and Microsoft now offer comparable modes that work with your own files. If you use one of those, pick a local-not-cloud setup so your data stays on your machine. We test and support the Auditor only in Cowork, so anywhere else you run it at your own risk and the deliverables may not look or work the way they're designed to.
Q: Is my data safe? Are the files safe to download? A: Yes, on both counts. All files in the Auditor are malware and virus free. The Auditor itself is a structured folder of documents, spreadsheets, and plain-text prompt files — no executables, no installers, no scripts that run on your machine. The Auditor then runs locally inside your Cowork project folder, so ASCI never sees your answers or your uploaded documents. All outputs live on your machine.
Q: Will it work on my computer? A: Yes. The Auditor is platform-independent. It delivers every report as a PDF with the Markdown source alongside, plus Excel workbooks for the math, so it runs on Mac, PC, Linux, and Chromebook. Cowork itself is the gating factor: you need the Claude desktop app and a paid Claude plan.
Q: Will you try to sell me consulting services afterward? A: The Auditor includes a structured ASCI Fit Analysis that tells you, based on your own numbers, whether paying for outside help makes sense. Sometimes it does. Often it does not. If you want to talk to us afterward, you can. We do not chase.
Q: Can I share the Auditor with my team? A: Yes. The Auditor is licensed for your business's own use. Your whole team can work in the same project folder. It is not licensed for resale, white-labeling, or sharing with companies outside your own. (For full terms, see the Terms page.)
Q: Who can buy the Auditor? Do you sell outside the United States? A: The Auditor is sold to businesses in the United States for their own commercial use. We don't currently market or sell it to consumers or to buyers outside the US, and all pricing is in US dollars.
Who built this.
Advanced Supply Chain International, LLC is a procurement and supply chain consultancy that helps growing companies deliver reliably and profitably. We offer consulting, business process outsourcing, and embedded partnership arrangements.
ASCI spent decades building enterprise-grade operational capability while supporting some of the world's most demanding supply chains. This Auditor brings that same operational discipline to businesses that don't have enterprise resources, so a small or mid-market company can operate well beyond its size.
This Auditor was built by ASCI's executive team, drawing on the diagnostic frameworks ASCI uses with its consulting clients and decades of enterprise supply chain and procurement experience. Rosita Johnson, ASCI's Senior Consultant, who oversees ASCI's consulting delivery, reviewed the Auditor during development and leads the Tier 2 and Tier 3 calls.
We built this Auditor because most of the companies that ask us for a diagnostic do not actually need a consultant. They need clarity. The Auditor gives them that, and lets us save our consulting hours for the companies where outside help is the right call.
Our tagline says it plainly: Helping You Deliver and Thrive.
Stop guessing where procurement is bleeding.
